PRODUCTS : Titanium/Other Alloys
TITANIUM
With a density of 4.505 kg per cubic meter, but an intrinsic lightness and strength, Titanium compares favourably to aluminium alloys and the best structural steels. Conductivity of heat and electricity is low, and Titanium retains it's properties in a temperature range of approximately -270°C to +400°C.
We stock Grade 2 and Grade 5, but have access to all grades.
Used as a substitute for aluminium, or alloyed with aluminium is used extensively in aircraft construction (landing gear components, hydraulic tubing, compressor blades, jet engine housings, etc), automotive, marine, heat exchangers, as deoxidisers and denitrogenisers, and as a replacement for bone and cartilage.
